Inspired by the timeless traditions of France and the limitless possibilities of California, Vérité wines have garnered exceptional acclaim including an impressive fifteen 100 Parker Points. French for truth, Vérité evokes the vision of Jess Jackson, the late founder of Jackson Family Wines, who sought to produce wines from Sonoma County that would rival the best in the world.
Beginning with the first vintage made in 1998, each wine is a distinct blend of unique components harvested from small vineyard blocks, culminating in a meticulously formed union of grape varieties, climate, soil expression, and winemaking technique. Pierre refers to this methodology as droit du sol, “right of the soil,” and through it, he crafts wines without compromise – wines that reflect the terroir in which they are grown.
Vérité La Joie was inspired by the finest wines from the Pauillac region of Bordeaux. La Joie is derived from a layered concentration of Cabernet Sauvignon vines grown along the steep hillsides and volcanic benches of the Mayacamas Mountains.
Vérité Le Désir is a Cabernet Franc-based blend that exudes high-toned aromatics, an iron graphite core and a pronounced minerality. Inspired by the iconic wines of Saint-Émilion, Bordeaux, Le Désir redefines CabernetFranc from the New World, with layers of concentrated fruit, exotic spice and a plush sueded texture.
Vérité La Muse is a Merlot-dominant blend that delivers incredible depth and texture using the finest grape sources from the top micro-crus of eastern Sonoma County. La Muse was first produced in 1998 and was inspired by the finest wines of Pomerol.
Vigneron Pierre Seillan tends to a mosaic of more than fifty micro-crus to produce the complex signatures of La Muse, Le Desir & La Joie.
Vérité wines are available from Hedonism Wines - www.hedonism.co.uk - retailing from £350 for a 75cl bottle, depending on the vintage.
