One of our highlights of last summer was visiting the fabulous The Dorchester Hotel when their sister property The Beverly Hills Hotel came to town to show off their incredible Polo Lounge on the rooftop of the hotel. If you were unfortunate to have missed it you can still enjoy the rooftop experience, albeit without the Polo Lounge, as The Dorchester Rooftop has just reopened with a residency by the award-winning team from The Bar at The Dorchester.
As the cocktail institution closes in its current position on the ground floor to be re-designed by Martin Brudnizki, the bar team, led by Giuliano Morandin and Lucia Montanelli, will head to the 9th floor of The Dorchester to launch a speakeasy-style pop-up bar and lounge. An expertly crafted cocktail menu will be available to be savoured amongst the new eccentric interiors of The Dorchester Rooftop.
In a special collaboration with Courvoisier, this reinvented hangout features a sensory experience with alluring artwork and live music, paired with tantalising cocktails and breath-taking views. The menu celebrates the wonders of spring through a series of seasonal cocktails. Each one is inspired by a legendary masterpiece, beautifully reimagined in the menu by illustrator Sonia Hensler.
Commenting on the inspiration behind the cocktail concept, head bartender Lucia Montanelli said; "Spring is my favourite season; it inspires us to create new blends with the extraordinary variety of ingredients available at this time of year. Our creativity, stimulated by this season, is enhanced by the beauty of art in all its forms. This menu is dedicated to the artists who have made spring their muse.”
With views across Hyde Park and East London, The Dorchester Rooftop is open daily, with a lounge area to relax with a cocktail whilst listening to a live music in partnership with Molto Music Group & Yamaha Music London.
