Nestled in the heart of St James’s, Imperial Treasure London is the distinguished UK outpost of one of Asia’s most celebrated Chinese restaurant groups. With a global portfolio boasting multiple Michelin-starred establishments, this fine dining destination lives up to its name, offering a treasure trove of flavours, sophistication, and an unparalleled gastronomic experience.

Housed within a stunning Grade II listed building, Imperial Treasure seamlessly blends British architectural grandeur with Chinese cultural influences, thanks to the masterful design of Studio Liaigre. The result is a space that radiates opulence, from the grand principal dining room with its individual salons to the impressive cocktail bar and exclusive wine-tasting room.
The evening began with a selection of delicate and meticulously prepared starters. The crispy fish skin with salted egg yolk provided an irresistible contrast of textures, while the dim sum platter was a delightful showcase of traditional craftsmanship, each bite bursting with flavour.
For our main course, the Cantonese roasted duck stood out as a highlight, its crispy golden skin giving way to succulent, perfectly seasoned meat. The sautéed beef tenderloin with garlic chips delivered a melt-in-the-mouth tenderness, while the sautéed scallops with black olives and celery offered a fresh, slightly briny taste. The wok-fried Singapore vermicelli with prawns provided a vibrant, aromatic contrast to the meal’s richer dishes.
Signature dishes elevate the menu even further, with luxurious offerings such as Caviar on Egg White & Crab Meat, Crispy Berkshire Pork Belly, and Braised Whole South African Abalone (5 Heads). Adventurous diners may opt for more daring specialities like Marinated Cold Jellyfish with Boiled Pork, Braised Chicken Feet with Abalone Sauce, or Chilled Pig’s Shank with Rice Wine.
The extensive drink list features award-winning wines from China, a selection of English sparkling varietals, and an impressive range of 22 vintages available by the glass, including the prestigious Château d'Yquem 1998. Champagne enthusiasts will find representation from all major houses, while whisky aficionados can explore an extensive collection of over 30 rare Japanese and international varieties. For those who prefer a modern twist, the selection of Asian-inspired classic and contemporary cocktails is not to be missed.

Beyond the exceptional cuisine, the service at Imperial Treasure is nothing short of impeccable. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, gracious, and highly attentive, ensuring that every aspect of our dining experience was flawless. Their deep knowledge of the menu and wine pairings was evident as they provided insightful recommendations with a genuine passion for the cuisine. Dishes were served with precision, and every request was met with efficiency and a warm smile, making us feel truly valued throughout the evening. The seamless attention to detail and personalised service added an extra layer of luxury, elevating the experience to something truly memorable.
