This October, Strathberry is celebrating its first 10 years of Design and Craftsmanship with an unmissable auction of sell-out pieces from the brand’s archives.
The globally recognised Edinburgh-based design house, founded by husband and wife duo Guy and Leeanne in 2013, looks back at its remarkable milestones, collaborations and moments that have shaped its inspiring story and led Strathberry to become an internationally recognised brand specialising in luxury leather goods.
Revisiting a decade of design, Strathberry brings back unique pieces and iconic silhouettes from the past 10 years and will auction these one-off pieces for charity to mark its special birthday. All proceeds will be donated to US and UK charities including Smartworks and Dress For Success, strengthening the brand’s ongoing philanthropic commitment and passion for giving back to the community.
The pieces featured in the auction were carefully curated for the brand’s New York Fashion Week presentation as a showcase of Strathberry’s boundless creativity and expert craftsmanship, whilst celebrating the long list of wonderful supporters who have worked and embraced the brand during its 10-year journey.
Included in the auction are limited edition signature pieces from sell-out collaborations such as the Ace Bag, designed in partnership with tennis champion Naomi Osaka, The Hyo Joo Strathberry Midi Tote, The Strathberry Nano Tote from The Miffy Collection, The East/West created in collaboration with Victoria Magrath from In The Frow and a NYC Subway-inspired Nano Tote launched exclusively for Strathberry’s first retailer, Saks Fifth Avenue.
Leeanne Hundleby, Strathberry co-founder, says “It’s been such an exciting journey for us, and we’re thrilled to celebrate this milestone in October by auctioning these one-off pieces, working closely with charities which are very close to our heart. Seeing the brand grow from strength to strength globally has been such a rewarding experience - we’ve cherished every moment and are grateful for the support we’ve received over the years. We look forward to seeing what the next 10 years hold for Strathberry and unveiling a new chapter of our story”.
The auction will run from 6th October until 16th October 2023 (4 pm BST) and customers will be able to bid on the pieces here.
In the month of October, Strathberry will also release its first monogram range, featuring the newly designed logo stylised in an abstract heart-shaped motif. Contemporary and understated, the “S” logo complements the brand’s signature silhouettes, whilst subtly celebrating the brand’s close connection with Scotland and Spain. A Scottish heritage with a Spanish secret.
Available in timeless and classic hues of navy and oat, these pieces are handmade in small batches in a premium fabric composed of recycled materials, crafted in small, independent mills powered by solar panels. Sustainability is key, and this playful twist on our classic designs is made with eco-friendly materials and responsible practices. Crafted in Spain, Italy, and Scotland, it is an iconic addition to Strathberry’s legacy. www.strathberry.com
