Fabulous Fauchon L’Hôtel Paris

We visit the the first boutique hotel in the Fauchon brand, Fauchon L’Hôtel located at the heart of the French capital's 8th arrondissement, on the mythical Place de la Madeleine,

As a French gourmet food and delicatessen company, Fauchon became one of the most iconic gastronomic luxury brands after it was founded by Auguste Fauchon in 1886. As a brand that represents the epitome of French luxury and cuisine, it only made sense to create a new 5-star boutique hotel. Fauchon L’Hôtel is a place where local Parisians and travellers alike can experience all things Fauchon in one magical place.

Nestled in an historic Haussmann building designed by Parisian architect Richard Martinet, the modern aesthetics and hot pink details make the hotel a playful and creative space decorated with custom-designed artwork and décor. Their emphasis is on the pursuit of pleasure with a philosophy centred on creating a place where food is an art and life is for living.

At the heart of all suites and rooms are original furnishings unique to the hotel designed by Atelier Paluel Marmont. Classic rooms showcase incredible views of Paris through large bright windows, and include a lush king-sized bed. Experience what life is like living in a Parisian apartment in one of the deluxe suites with two separate rooms and lots of space to relax. All hotel rooms and suites are equipped with a gourmet mini bar hidden away in a custom-designed pink armoire filled with so many complimentary delicacies from the brand which are customised prior to arrival depending on your savoury or sweet preferences and, of course, a bottle of champagne!

Embark on a luxurious spa treatment at the Carita Beauty Spa with expert care in beauty, anti-aging and wellbeing. This intimate setting with various treatments including facials, massages, manicures, pedicures, hair styling and makeup application is the ultimate place for feeling radiant, serene and youthful. The hotel is also offers a state-of-the-art fitness centre which includes; treadmills, bikes, stair climbers and free weights.

To get a taste of the gourmet delicacies famous to Fauchon, Le Grand Cafe Fauchon creates innovative dishes while paying homage to the founder through their commitment to pleasure and quality. Le Grand Cafe Fauchon is open for all day dining from early morning breakfast to late night meals. Indulge in Glam’Hours, their gourmet happy hour, where they serve unique tea infused cocktails. Every drink is accompanied by special pastries and chocolates whether at the bar or on the terrace.

For dinner, choose from a variety of small plates to share or from executive chef Frederic Claudel’s signature dishes. The menu is separated by vegetable dishes, dishes from the sea, and dishes from the land. They also provide recommendations for which tea perfectly complements the flavours of each dish. Pair the Oolong blue tea with the duck fois gras, or the Jasmin green tea with the roasted scallops for the ultimate gourmet food experience. The chef’s signature dish is a seafood risotto which is probably the best example I’ve tasted in my 20 years as a journalist – magnifique! A true epicurean always ends his evening with their famous French kiss – bisou bisou!

Having travelled the world and explored hotels big and small, renowned and hidden gems – we can confidently say the experience here is second to none – led by the charming GM Jérôme Montanteme whose very personal passion and commitment to the hotel and especially customer service is – as they say – par excellence!
