Chestertons Polo in the Park is returning after a two year break to London’s iconic home of polo this summer at Hurlingham Park, Fulham. The world's largest three-day polo festival will be kicking off London’s summer social calendar from Friday 10th - Sunday 12th June. The three day international polo event will feature teams from across the globe, an array of new food and drink pop-ups, VIP hospitality and fun for all the family on Sunday.
Hurlingham Park has been renowned as the spiritual home of Polo, since 1875 when the Hurlingham Polo Committee drew up the first formal rules of the game. In the 150 years since the first game of Polo was played in the UK, it has grown to become a much loved sport, which draws crowds from around the world. The game of Polo is now played in 77 countries worldwide, from the US, Central and South America and the Caribbean, to Europe, the Middle East, India, South East Asia, China, Australia and New Zealand. In 2010 Polo in the Park brought polo back to the park for the first time in 70 years.
This year, Chestertons Polo in the Park is excited to announce a sporting first, as it hosts its first International Women’s Match on Saturday’s Ladies Day, featuring England Polo and Team USA. This will be a historic sporting moment as no women’s International has ever been played in central London before.
Over the course of the three day Polo festival, there will be six city teams competing from across the globe, from Sydney and Buenos Aires to New York, Zurich, Dubai and London.
The inaugural Fulham Food Festival will be a big attraction at the event, and will feature some of London’s most popular restaurants and street food including the Argentine Steak Restaurant, Gaucho, burgers from Truffle London, seafood bites from Calamari Canteen, Hot Dogs from La Cocinita and Curry on Naan Stop serving up Mumbai street food.
