Café Boulud arrives in the Bahamas at Rosewood Baha Mar

Rosewood Baha Mar in Nassau, The Bahamas, will reopen on 4 March 2021 with a new restaurant led by globally renowned Chef Daniel Boulud. Café Boulud The Bahamas will offer the glamour of traditional French cuisine combined with the warm hospitality of a neighborhood café, in an elegant Bahamian setting. The new restaurant joins Rosewood Baha Mar’s other popular dining offerings, including Mexican influenced Costa, relaxed beach-side restaurant Tingum, and glamorous Manor Bar.

Café Boulud - with sister restaurants in New York, Palm Beach, Toronto and The Berkshires - offers food traditionally inspired by Boulud’s four culinary muses. La Tradition highlights elevated French classics, La Saison emphasises seasonal and local produce, Le Mer offers seafood specialities, while Le Voyage explores various world cuisines through French interpretations. To create the unique menu at Rosewood Baha Mar, Chef Daniel will be visiting the resort to meet with local producers, fishermen and suppliers to ensure the menu reflects the destination and perfectly matches the seasonality of the Caribbean.

The menu at the new Bahamas restaurant will feature some of the classical French dishes synonymous with Chef Daniel, while showcasing local vegetables and seafood including rock lobster, salt fish, conch ceviche, red snapper and even cochon de lait. One of Chef Daniel’s signature dishes being featured is the Paupiette of Sea Bass, which will be given a local interpretation using the freshest island ingredients.

Baha Mar is a world-class resort and a fantastic destination just two and a half hours from New York.,” said Chef Daniel. Many of Cafe Boulud’s guests travel to The Bahamas and we felt partnering with Rosewood on this spectacular project was a perfect fit, with the many shared values among our brands and clientele.”
