Jamie Redknapp launches SANDBANKS
A star-studded VIP event at the chic Mandrake Hotel saw TV personality and former England and Liverpool star Jamie Redknapp and his partners launch the very earth-friendly clothing brand Sandbanks. Presumably named after the small peninsula at the mouth of Poole Harbour on the English Channel coast in Dorset where his father, Harry, used to have an equally chic contemporary home.
The collection which launches with a selection of parka-style coats are not only super-fashionable and, most importantly, are created using recycled plastic bottles from the oceans and landfill.
The initial release includes two men’s parkas, a parka, and puffer for women and two unisex options – with some having the extra benefit of being reversible.
The focus – aside from a better and cleaner world – is on style, durability, and quality without compromising on design. The fashion line is made in Italy by skilled craftsmen and is carbon-neutral and is the perfect combination with a bespoke luxury watch.
Jamie commented:
“18 months in the making, I am very excited to be launching SANDBANKS. Every minute a truckload of plastic enters the ocean, endangering marine life and is threatening the future of our planet. Humanity has created over 9.2 billion tons of plastic, with 6.3 billion tons never making it into recycling. SANDBANKS was born and established with this epidemic in mind and is determined to make a change. I look forward to seeing what you think of the debut capsule collection.”
